Volunteer Opportunities for D'Youville Alumni

Alumni Ambassador Program

Alumni Ambassadors serve as enthusiastic ambassadors to prospective students, families, and schools by sharing their experiences and information about D’Youville — but they also help personalize the admissions process and make D’Youville more accessible to thousands of candidates each year.

You could play a vital role for future students!

Open Houses

Assist the undergraduate and graduate admissions team, faculty and staff as they welcome our students at one or more of our open houses. Open Houses typically occur 5 times per year. Volunteers are needed to welcome guests as they arrive, answer questions about the day’s agenda, and engage in conversations with prospective students and their families.

Information Sessions

Serve as an alumni representative at in person or virtual information sessions. Information sessions typically involve a formal presentation of one or more academic programs. Topics covered may include program specific information and requirements, admission requirements, and Q&A’s. Alumni Ambassadors may volunteer their time to speak with a small group of prospective students about their experience as a D’Youville student.

College Fairs

College Fairs are great recruiting opportunities that introduce high school students to many different colleges. One or more high schools in an area may sponsor a day or evening program and invite selected colleges to meet with students and their families.

D’Youville University’s Admissions Office receives many invitations to college fairs locally and nationally each year for our staff to attend. As college fair representatives, alumni ambassadors talk with students and their families as well as represent D’Youville University by handing out admissions publications, fielding basic questions and sharing their own personal D’Youville experiences.

Additional information and materials will be provided to ambassadors to properly prepare for these events.

Postcards

When you share your insights and stories about D’Youville, you make a genuine connection with students and their families.
